Referral Information

For over 20 years, we’ve built our practice on compassionate care that shows consideration for everyone involved, from pet parent to primary care veterinarian. Our relationships with veterinarians and their patients mean the world to us, and we do everything we can to respect everyone’s time and concerns as we treat the pets of Western Pennsylvania and the tristate area.

A Criticalist:

  • Is available 7 days a week, during business hours
  • Answers any questions you have regarding a potential referral, including costs
  • Receives any patient you directly refer during these times

Clients may visit their hospitalized pet:

  • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
  • Patients are seen in order of medical priority, then by their arrival time.
  • A Critical Care Specialist, who will coordinate care according to medical need and availability, will see patients daily.

Appointments are scheduled in a timely manner for stable patients needing:

  • Advanced diagnostics
  • Procedures
  • Specialist consultation

Individual specialists are available during specific appointment times.

Patients are seen by a specialist at a specific time. Please advise your client that the office visit may take several hours, depending upon the diagnostic procedure(s) performed.
